Teddy's story...
I am Teddy a 13 yr old Cockapoo but my people think I have a little terrier in me too.  I have been in the same home for my whole life but now something terrible is about to happen to me.  My mom and dad are moving away and I can’t go with them.  They don’t have any friends or family who will take me so I will be homeless soon. My mom got in touch with ABLDR and they feel very sorry for me so they said they would look for a foster home or an adoptive home for me.  They said my picture would go on their website, so here I am.
Most of the time I am a very good dog!  I never bark in the house and I really like people – even children and babies. I am housetrained and I don’t shed.  I have a slight skin condition that makes me itch sometimes, but other than that I am healthy.  I enjoy being outside in the yard and I will bark at squirrels and cats if they get too close.  I don’t really like other dogs too much so I don’t go to the off leash dog parks.  I just go for walks where I can mind my own business.  I don’t like being alone either.  If I have to be alone for a short time I would do best in a small room with toys and a bed and just in case I have an accident- puppy pads would be a good idea.  Being alone really makes me nervous.
Teddy has adapted to her foster home for now.  She gets along great with other dogs as she’s been living with 3 of them for the last month.  She has also gotten used to having a cat around and rarely bothers it, however curiousity will probably always be there.  She does have a Cruciade ligament injury which doesn’t seem to be causing her any pain or slowing her down.  If she does too much running, (which she loves to do in the dog park), she will just pull her leg up and run with the good 3.  She is a very sweet girl and would love a household with a teenage girl (as she has fallen in love with the foster’s daughter).
